The Battle Against Motor Neurone Disease Has New Royal Warrior


HRH The Princess Royal has delighted the Motor Neurone Disease Association by agreeing to become their patron. The Princess is also Patron of the Scottish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

The Princess is Patron of over 200 charities. Most famously Save The Children, The Princess Royal Trust For Carers and St John's Ambulance. She was also involved in London's bid for the 2012 Olympics and is now involved in the planning of the event. The Princess is a fan of Rugby and she is Patron of the Scottish Rugby Union.

The Princess is married to her second husband Timothy Laurence and has two children, Peter and a daughter Zara by her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips.
